What is Telepractice?
Telepractice refers to services provided from a distance using videoconferencing or other technologies. It enables an increase in availability of quality services to a variety of client types. Telepractice has been regarded by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as an effective means of providing services.
Therapy will be conducted through a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform using live video and audio. In order for telepractice to be successful the child must be using a computer or tablet device, have access to internet and be in a comfortable and quiet environment.
Telepractice is not only effective, it is fun and exciting for children. Have no fear, the negative associations with screen time and children do not apply to a dynamic and interactive telepractice session.
